Marvin Edeas’ Works and Publications

Marvin Edeas (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26500226)' research is frequently written about in the press. He has also authored literature aimed at a broader audience, such as 'The Health Secrets of Tea' in the year 2005. He takes a close look at topics like mitochondria, microbiota and chronic diseases in many of his publications. The thesis penned by Marvin Edeas, defended in '96, revealed the role of oxidative stress in HIV replication in asymptomatic and symptomatic patients suffering from HIV.

Marvin Edeas affiliates with the Agency of Biomedicine and the Agency for the Evaluation of Research and Higher-Education and Krakow, Poland's National Center for Science. As former Chair and one of the founders of the Mitochondria Society, he is a co-editor of the business’s magazine and Chair of its annual congress. The worldwide conference "Targeting Microbiota and Mitochondria" is chaired by Marvin Edeas. His yearly congress, Paris Redox, is quite logically run by the Chair of the International Society of Antioxidants.

The breakthroughs Marvin Edeas has made have all proved to hold a real-world application. The use of an oyster enzyme hydrolyzate in a composition that eliminates free radicals and modulates oxidative stress is what the patents Marvin Edeas filed regarded. Medicine, dietetics and cosmetology could all stand to gain from Oyster hydrolyzate.

In addition to being committed to their benefits in therapeutic and preventative medicine, the SFA encourages the usage of antioxidants in nutrition and health. Research on oxidative stress, mitochondria, microbiota, differentiation, inflammation, cell signalling, Nrf2 transcription factors stimulation and their implications in various pathologies are the primary focus of Marvin Edeas’ research. The relationship between mitochondria and microbiota is his central focus. He is chair of the French Society of Antioxidants. Marvin Edeas is founder and Chair of the International Society of Antioxidants in Nutrition & Health (ISANH) which was formed in the year 1998.

Marvin Edeas - Visiting Professor at the Cochin Institute

Marvin Edeas came to be a member of a team responsible for Inflammation, Oxidative Stress and Cell Proliferation. He chaired the Scientific Committee of the 2016 Targeting Microbiota and Mitochondria Congress, which brought together more than 400 participants. Ever since the year 2016, Marvin Edeas has been active with the Paris Descartes University (Cochin Institute) as a professor (visiting).

HIV - Important Research

At Paris Descartes University, Marvin Edeas underscored the impact of oxidative stress and co-infections in HIV patients. Back in the year 1997, he identified the factors which produce blastogenic plasma in HIV Type 1 cases. For his efforts with HIV, he was rewarded by Sidaction. Substantial research was conducted on the acquired immunodeficiency virus by Marvin Edeas in the 1990s.
